KNIFE CRIME

It is important that we educate our children about knife crime.  We do this by using The Danny C Foundation's resources which aims to educate young people about knife crime.

This is taught in year 6 and covers:

  1. Peer pressure and friendships – What makes a good friend?  Why is friendship important? How can friendships benefit you? What are the consequences of making the right/wrong friendship choice?
  2. I am not a statistic – What are the facts and figures around knife crime?
  3. Timelines – Appreciate what you can achieve in life and understand that what you can achieve is dependent on the choices you make.
  4. Impact – Recognise and empathise with different perspectives of people impacted by knife crime.  Know that actions have consequences.
  5. Futures – Know how the decisions made will impact in the future.
